ABOUT ARYEH ACROSS AM3RICA

Campers: Ages 14-19

For our 17th summer, Aryeh Adventures is heading north for one of our biggest adventures yet! Aryeh Up North will take us from the lakes and mountains of the Pacific Northwest through Glacier National Park and the Canadian Rockies, before flying east to explore Ottawa and Montreal and finishing with an unforgettable adventure through the Adirondacks. Along the way we’ll kayak Lake Coeur d’Alene, hit Silverwood Theme Park, hike through Glacier and Banff, experience the Columbia Icefield, go whitewater rafting in Jasper, and finish the trip at Six Flags Great Escape.
But Aryeh is about much more than where we go. Our program brings together mainstream students and teens with social, intellectual and emotional challenges in an inclusive environment built around friendship, personal growth and fun. Our staff lead social-education programming grounded in Torah values, and throughout the summer our philosophy remains simple: Midot Matter Most. Aryeh Adventures is fully Shomer Shabbat and kosher.
Scholarships are available- Click here for more info. Know an Israeli teen whose father is a combat soldier? Email us to find out how they can get a
Bnei Miluim Scholarship!

Aryeh Adventures is intended for high functioning individuals with special social, intellectual, and/or emotional needs. If you feel your child might be a candidate to be a camper on Aryeh please contact us. All campers must be able to dress and bathe themselves, and be able to have a conversation while making eye contact.
Aryeh Director, R' Yoni Glatt, will once again be organizing and overseeing this year's trip. This will be his 16th summer with Aryeh, and 24th summer working on Jewish teen tours. In addition, there will be a dynamic head counselor, social worker, chef, and an energetic, responsible counselor staff working on the program (the average counselor age is 21). Aryeh trips have a participant to staff ratio of 3:1.
Aryeh Up North is open to mainstream teens finishing grades 8-10 who will come on the trip as mentors, but no more than 20 will be accepted onto the program. Approximately 10-15 campers with some special needs, who are between the ages of 14-20, will also be accepted onto the trip. In addition there will be a group of Israeli teens joining the trip whose fathers having been bravely defending Israel on the front lines. Our goal is for all participants to form lasting friendships, providing them with a sincere feeling of social inclusion. Unfortunately, individuals with physical disabilities will be unable to join AUN. Other young men and women with non-physical special needs might also not be able to be a part of Aryeh. We accept each applicant on a case by case basis, but also want to make sure each individual gets the care they need.
***Should we need to cancel the program due to health safety all deposits and payments are 100% refundable.***
Parents should check with their local synagogues and Federations to see if scholarship funds are available. We have limited funds available as well. This is a not-for-profit program (501c3), led by our fantastic volunteer-based staff. Our goal is to create a warm, altruistic environment where Midot Matter Most and every single day is filled with happiness and excitement.
