Campers: Ages 14-22
Aryeh Down South will be run by Gary Berger! Gary is the Assistant Principal of Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School. He is the former owner/director of Teen Tours of America, and proud Aryeh parent as well. Gary also has a Master's in Social Work from Yeshiva University. We are so thrilled to have him as part of the Aryeh team.
Like all of our Aryeh Adventures, the goal of our Down South trip is for our mentors and campers to become "united" during an exceptional experience in a Jewish environment were"Midot Matter Most". Campers ride on a coach bus and stay in hotels other than over Shabbat where we will be staying with the Jewish community in Atlanta. Food is provided by Kosher restaurants and our incredible world class chef. Aryeh Down South has daily prayer services and is strictly kosher and shomer shabbat. A Rabbinic Director accomponies the trip and oversees the Jewish atmosphere of the program.
Aryeh Down South is an absolutely incredible trip that visits some of the most breathtaking and exciting locales in the Southern United States. We will start off in New Orlens exploring the bayous, quad biking through the city, and eating delicious beignets (French doughnuts).Then it's off to Atlanta where we'll visit Coca-Cola World, see the world's largest indoor Aquarium and spend a wonderful Shabbat with the Atlanta Jewish community. Then we head to Savannah for a fun filled day on the beach. We wrap up the trip visiting the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars and spending two days at Universal Studios in Orlando! There are also engaging classes on social education and Jewish topics of interest as well.
